Men’s netball has been played in Australia since the early 80’s and Australia has had an international team since the mid 80’s. (The game itself has been played in Australia since 1901 when it was called Women’s Basketball)
The Queensland season is heating up with some very close games in the Men’s Netball Challenge. The Caboolture team (pictured below in their Game Clothing netball uniforms) are first on the ladder after Round 5 followed by the Southport Carrara team very closely behind on percentages only.
If the games so far are anything to go by we are going to have a bumper season for players and spectators. What a great action packed sport to watch!
What a fantastic turn out for this years State Age Netball Championships on the Sunshine Coast. Over 1500 competitors dodged the raindrops to play some really exceptional netball. Standards were high and everyone gave it their best.
Players were cheered on by Mission Queensland Firebird Kierra Trompf (revisiting the area she began netball, Noosa District Netball Association was her first association).
Officials and sponsors, Queensland Government, were very pleased with the outcome and performance by all who attended.
We were very impressed to see the Game Clothing netball uniforms stand up to rigorous testing by the players. Here are some action and team shots.
Game Clothing is extremely proud to have designed and manufactured the Papua New Guinea National Netball Team (Pepes) uniforms. This is the national netball team for PNG. This included both the playing strip, training uniforms and official netball uniforms.
